About this scene
Four men pull up to a drive-thru and one of them orders for the entire block. The first seven lines are ordinary — a cashier, three friends, one number 9 each — and then Big Smoke takes over and does not stop for seven consecutive lines, from “I'll have 2 number 9's” to “And a large soda”. At twenty-five lines a minute across thirty-four seconds this is one of the fastest packs here, and the joke is entirely rhythm: the order has to be recited like a man who has said it before, never like a man reading a list.
