About this scene
A family dinner where the most dangerous thing anyone says is “Are you sure?”. Eleven lines across three voices, evenly shared, and all of it is played warm — Debbie fussing about bratwurst, Nolan apologising for being late because “a dragon was attacking Hong Kong”, and Mark burying his news until someone asks. The comedy is in the underplaying: “Threw a trash bag... into space. At work.” is the biggest moment in the scene and has to be thrown away. Five of the ten handoffs overlap, which is a lot for a scene this relaxed.
