About this scene
The three seconds cinemas started ejecting people over, plus the minute of setup that earns them. Eight of the eleven lines are Steve and Garrett talking each other into a Vindicator fight club — “Reach down DEEP”, “It's a fight to the death kid!” — and then the pack stops being dialogue and becomes the shout. Two lines are pure noise on purpose: a chicken, a baby, and a scream, and whether this lands is entirely down to how far you will go on the last one. Forty-nine seconds, eleven lines, and one of them is why anyone is here.
