    About this scene

    A minion is handed a crown and a balcony and says almost nothing you can spell. Forty lines, thirty of them Bob's, and the vocabulary is roughly “la bim bim bob”, “ME ASHI KEBOB! PARA TUTTIIIIIIIIIIII!” and about a dozen separate laughs — so the performance is entirely pitch, timing and commitment, with no meaning to lean on. The one Englishman in the scene plays it completely straight (“Whatever's bothering you we can make it right”), which is what makes the gibberish land. Eleven of the thirty-nine handoffs overlap, mostly Kevin and Stuart laughing over Bob, and the whole thing is built to arrive twice at the same two words, forty-five seconds apart.
