About this scene A newspaper editor fires his photographer and unfires him nine seconds later without ever changing his tone. J. Jonah Jameson takes ten of the fifteen lines and delivers them at twenty-one a minute — “Where were you, photographing squirrels? You're fired!” straight into “Oh, right. You're unfired, I need you, come here.” — so the pack is really an endurance test for one voice. Peter gets four words in, asks the title question, and is answered with a laugh that runs eight seconds before the reply arrives. Only three of the fourteen handoffs overlap, which means every joke has to be timed rather than shouted over.
