About this scene
A 1990s Polly-O String Cheese ad, fourteen lines in thirty seconds, and eight of the thirteen line changes overlap. A kid orders a pizza and then removes it a piece at a time — hold the sauce, hold the crust — while Fred repeats each demand back with mounting disbelief until he shouts the order through to Jimmy. Six voices in half a minute, including three children who each get one word of appreciation in a different language at the end. The pace is the whole exercise: there is no room to breathe between Fred's questions and the next thing being taken off his pizza.
